Georgia and Lucy V.'s Experience

We have grown up on farms and have cared for animals our entire lives, giving us years of hands-on experience with a wide variety of breeds, temperaments and needs. From puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring extra patience and care, we are confident and capable in providing attentive, responsible support. We have experience with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, as well as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and larger farm animals including horses, sheep and cattle. We understand that every pet is different, and we take the time to learn their routines, personalities and preferences to ensure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. As a nurse and an occupational therapist, we both bring calm, observant and responsible qualities to pet care. We are confident administering oral medications and following specific health or dietary requirements. Growing up around working dogs and farm animals has also given us strong practical handling skills and awareness of animal behaviour. Whether it’s energetic puppies needing structure and play, or senior pets needing gentle care and companionship, we provide reliable, experienced and loving support for every stage of life.

A typical day

Our days are structured, active and centred around providing consistent, loving care for the animals we look after. Georgia (24) is a nurse working shift work four days a week, and Lucy (23) is an occupational therapist working Monday to Friday. Between the two of us, we are able to ensure your pets are well cared for throughout the day and evening. Because Georgia works rotating shifts, there are weekdays she is home during the day, and Lucy is available before and after work. This allows us to coordinate our schedules so your pets are not left alone for long periods and maintain their usual routine as closely as possible. We are both active and enjoy spending time outdoors, so dogs can expect regular walks, playtime and plenty of enrichment. A typical day with us includes morning feeds, fresh water checks, exercise, companionship and evening wind-down time with lots of affection and attention. We are confident administering medications if required and are comfortable caring for pets with specific needs. Between the two of us, your pets will receive consistent care and plenty of love while you’re away.
